slope formula : (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (4,51)(6,83)....sub into the slope formula and find the slope slope = (83 - 51) / (6 - 4) = 32/2 = 16 <=== slope y = mx + b slope(m) = 16 use either of ur points..(4,51)...x = 4 and y = 51 now we sub and find b, the y int 51 = 16(4) + b 51 = 64 + b 51 - 64 = b - 13 = b <== ur y intercept and ur equation is : y = 16x - 13...and in y = mx + b form, the slope is in the m position and the y intercept is in the b position.
