First, you have to calculate the individual numbers you need to have to average.  You do that by counting the numbers above the number line and multiplying that by the number below it.  So you have: [latex]2( frac{1}{6})+2( frac{1}{3})+3( frac{1}{2})+4( frac{2}{3})+1( frac{5}{6}) = 6 [/latex] To average, divide that by the number of numbers there were which was 5: 6/5= [latex]1 frac{1}{5} [/latex] Hope that helps
